  • To Prevent Fraud: This process helps us verify that reservations are genuine.
  • To Comply with Local Regulations: In some jurisdictions, collecting a government-issued ID and facial verification is mandatory for hospitality providers.

How Do We Collect It?

With your consent, we work with trusted third-party service providers such as Persona or Chekin to capture:

  1. A photo of your government-issued ID.
  2. A photo of your face.

The service provider securely compares the face geometry from these images to verify your identity.

How Do We Use and Share It?

  • Use: Our third-party providers collect your Biometric Data solely to verify your identity.
  • No Sharing: These providers do not share your Biometric Data with Purevoyage or any other third party.
  • Limited Access: Purevoyage can view photos of your ID and face for check-in processing and legal recordkeeping, but we do not receive or store Biometric Data.

How Long Do We Retain Your Biometric Data?

  • Persona: Deletes your Biometric Data immediately after verification.
  • Chekin: Deletes your Biometric Data two weeks after verification.

What Happens at the End of the Retention Period?

At the end of the specified retention period, our service providers permanently delete your Biometric Data to ensure it cannot be recovered or reconstructed.
